The Los Gatos Brewing Company was established in 1991 to quench the growing thirst for native Los Gatos Brews. As news of our Diner’s Pub spread, beer drinkers from far and wide came to sample our delicious lagers and feast from our gourmet menu. Serving only the freshest and finest in California cuisine. The Los Gatos Brewing Company soon became the fashionable watering hole and premier eatery it is today.
The surrounding glass and woodwork reflect the highest quality craftsmanship. The distinct colors and patterns of our furnishings were selected to give Los Gatos Brewing Company a traditional ambiance, and make patrons feel at home. The mahogany and oak arches behind our bar were once the property of a St. Louis brothel. Oh, if those arches could only speak, the stories they’d tell. Our marble threshold, formerly the property of the old Fillmore Hotel, does have a story. Rumor has it that President McKinley actually stubbed his Executive toe on the very threshold you’ve just crossed.
Our building has an interesting history too. In 1926, it was the site of a very successful car dealership that flourished for over 30 years. In the early 1960’s, it housed a yacht company, and after that a photography studio. In 1974, the building was sold to the current owners and opened The Noodle Palace. After sitting vacant for a year, we secured the location and opened Los Gatos’ first brew pub. We hope to enjoy as many years of success as our predecessors. And we’d like to leave you with an open invitation to enjoy our outstanding beers and exquisite cuisine anytime you’re in our neck of the woods.
